UNIS Technology, a Markham-based company, helped an Atari Pong® coffee table go from a kickstarter campaign in Uruguay struggling to get off the ground, to an amazing product.

The iconic video game – originally developed in 1972, has been transformed from a TV-based videogame to a standalone artificial intelligence driven coffee table game.

CBS Opens Massive New TV and Film Studio in Mississauga

A year after it was first announced, CBS has officially opened its brand new film and television studios in Mississauga.

The massive 260,000 square-foot production facility is said to include six soundstages, production offices, support facilities, and auxiliary services for large-scale television and film production.

Ubisoft Chooses The Toronto Region

Established in 2010, Ubisoft Toronto is a growing and diverse team on a collective mission to create what’s next in AAA open world games. The studio recently shipped Far Cry 5.

At E3 2017, Ubisoft Toronto announced its first new IP, Starlink: Battle for Atlas, an all-new, action-adventure game where players assemble customizable controller-mounted starships and launch into epic, interplanetary adventures. The studio shipped its first lead production, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist, to critical acclaim in 2013 and has contributed to multiple award-winning Ubisoft brands including: Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Watch Dogs, and For Honor.

The Toronto studio builds on the city's existing experience with the film production industry. Collaborating with local film industry veterans to enhance video game production and extend Ubisoft's convergence strategy, Ubisoft Toronto contributes to Ubisoft's global plan of extending its brands to complementary platforms and mediums, including books, comics, short films and other products.
